How to host a champagne shower or party

Anyone on Pinterest will know that there's a huge trend lately for having a champagne/bubbly bar theme at parties, bridal showers, bachelorette parties and even baby showers. While it may sound intimidating and like a lot of work, having a champagne bar at your soiree is a lot easier than you think. Here are some tips and tricks to help you host a classy, memorable event:

                                   Supplies you'll need
- A great invitation to your party. This champagne brunch invitation from our Etsy shop is one of our best-selling items and can be customized for any party/occasion.

- chic glasses for each guest (one per guest). Hint: buy cheap glasses and glitz them up with gold glitter or a colour of glitter to match your party/shower theme using this tutorial here from HGTV.

- large ice bucket to fit four to five champagne bottles on ice (silver galvanized buckets found at any craft store look great, or if you're really into DIY, spray paint it to match your shower theme and colours)

- Four to five different flavours of fruit juice

- Four to five matching/coordinating pitchers to put fruit juice in

- Labels to put in front of each juice pitcher

- Three to four different types of fruit for garnishing - raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, pomegranate seeds, peaches, blueberries, etc., are all great for this.

- Dishes to place fruit in. Don't forget spoons for each one!

- Instructions for guests about how to make their champagne cocktail. This is one of our favourite's from our shop: (you can also purchase coordinating bundle of champage shower/party signs here)

Optional: Have champagne-themed printable signs in picture frames along your champagne/refreshment/food table. We have many in our Etsy shop, including this one:

What to do the night before your party/shower:

1. Prepare your fruit - wash, cut, and put your fruit into the dishes that will be put out on the table and cover with plastic wrap in the fridge.

2. If fridge space permits, pour juice into pitchers. If not, this step can easily be completed the next day when you're putting your table together. Note: you may even want to soak some fruit in champagne overnight and have it out as part of the snacks for your party. Just be sure to label that they're soaked in champagne in case there are guests who won't be consuming alcohol at the party.

3. Chill champagne in fridge

4. Lay out your table - put out champagne flutes, ice bucket (with no ice), spoons for scooping out fruit, etc. Be sure to leave spaces for the juice pitchers, fruit dishes, and champagne bucket(s).

5. Decorate - place your labels, framed signs, decor, etc. out and have it all ready to go.
With a little prep work, you will have minimal work to do for the champagne bar portion of your party on the day of the event.

Tiffany and Co. Little Black Dress and Pearls Bridal Shower

I've noticed a huge trend towards throwing a Tiffany and Co. little black dress and pearls bridal shower/bachelorette party. This printable invitation pictured here has been one of my hottest sellers in my Etsy shop lately. I just love the idea of having all the guests dress up in their favourite LBD and sporting their pearls - it adds so much class and sophistication for a special occasion, like the bride-to-be's upcoming nuptials. Here's some other inspiration from my Tiffany and Co. Pinterest board to help you put together a classy Tiffany and Co. bridal shower or bachelorette-themed party:
