Tiffany and Co. bridal shower and baby shower thank you cards

Hello darlings! Sorry it's been awhile since my last post. I have been perusing Pinterest lately and noticed a big trend in Tiffany and Co. - inspired bridal showers and baby showers, so I decided to do a thank you note card that could be used for these occasions! The cards measure 4.25 by 5.5 inches (they are flat cards, not folded cards) and feature Tiffany Blue cardstock with an image of Audrey Hepburn hand stamped in Tiffany Blue ink and the sentiment "A note of thanks" stamped in black ink. They are available for purchase in our Etsy shop at www.etsy.com/glassslipperdesigns.

I have also put together a Tiffany and Co. board on Pinterest for all of you who are planning Tiffany and Co. themed bridal showers, weddings or baby showers. Don't forget to say "thanks"

Well, we're at the height of wedding season and all the activities that encompass it - bridal showers, bachelorette parties and, of course, the big day itself. In the midst of all the last minute things to do, one thing that often gets overlooked is thank you cards. We're happy to announce that we have recently opened a shop on Etsy (www.etsy.com/shop/glassslipperdesigns) and have several thank you cards for sale. Some helpful tips for writing thank you cards:

• Keep it personal. Try to incorporate at least one or two sentences that speaks personally to your guests. 
• Acknowledge what you'll do with the gift.
• Thank your guests for attending your wedding.
• Keep your thank you card to three to four sentences. 
• Write out your thank you cards a few at a time.

Stampede wedding inspiration

The Calgary Stampede turned 100 years old this year! For those of you who don't know, the Calgary Stampede is known as one of the hottest party spots in the world. For 10 days, the entire city of Calgary pretty much shuts down as people celebrate and get their country on, and people travel from all over the world to take in all the festivities. To celebrate the Stampede's 100th anniversary, we've put together a little country wedding inspiration that would fit in with the Stampede's Western theme. I am loving some of the great nautical wedding ideas floating around Pinterest these days! Although we live in the middle of the prairies, a lot of these ideas could be incorporated for weddings that are taking place at the lake or out on the West Coast. Erin & Donovan's DIY yellow and turquoise stationery suite

Glass Slipper Designs recently announced a new DIY invitation option for those couples who are looking to save a little bit of money on their invitation suites while still getting the "custom" look of wedding invitations. Erin and Donovan approached me about this option, and I was happy to create a custom design and step-by-step instructions for them so they could create their ideal wedding stationery suite. 


I loved their wedding colour combination - turquoise and yellow. The colours really pop, and because they are getting married at the Calgary Zoo, we decided to go ahead with some funky floral images for their stationery. I created a custom gatefold invitation design for them, accommodation insert, response card, table numbers and a program design.


Erin and Donovan were really happy with the design I came up with, and they were a joy to work with! I wish them all the best for the wedding and a happy marriage.
