Real wedding by Urban Couture Photography

Our friend, Jen, from Urban Couture Photography sent along some gorgeous photos that she took at a wedding at the beginning of June. I really love the vintage look of the pictures.
Also, Jen is giving away a free engagement session to one lucky couple! Head on over to her Facebook page for contest details. Voting starts on June 27, so be sure to get your entry in soon.

Thanks again for sharing these gorgeous wedding photos with us, Jen!

My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding

I don't know if you've had a chance to catch TLC's new series, My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, but if you haven't, you should! The show follows groups of travellers as they celebrate their over-the-top weddings.

I can't even begin to describe the dresses that the brides and bridesmaids wear - in fact, the dresses are so extravagant that one of Britian's sole traveller bridal attire designers, Thelma Madine, won't ever disclose how much they pay for a wedding or bridesmaid dress designed by here.

I scoured the web for some photos of real-life gypsy weddings, and here are some of the ensembles I came across:

Unique wedding combination: purple, turquoise and green

I made a suite using this uique colour combination a while ago, but I recently came across a blog post on onestylishbride.com with pictures from a real wedding that used this combination. Here are some photos below:

WOW.

That is the only word that came to mind when I came across this video on the Wedding Chicks blog. The wedding took place at the Fairmont Banff Hotel and the wedding looks AMAZING. I am also in LOVE with the song (Always by Switchfoot) that the videographer, Imago Cinematography, used for the background. What a perfect wedding song! View the wedding video and hear the song below:
